With the iDoser, there are 4 Pump Types: Supply - Peristaltic - Batch - Balance
To Program your Pump to be a "Peristaltic - Ratio Mode Reference" you would do the following:
Here is a video:
From home screen hit Enter/Menu -> Scroll and highlight Program Equipment hit Enter/Menu -> Once in equipment programming screen hit Enter/Menu to highlight output #in left Corner
** Note + & - allows you to navigate thru the outputs 1 thru 12 **
Once you have your output # highlighted hit NEXT to highlight the NONE Hit + to expand the NONE and + till you have Pump highlighted->then hit BACK button hit next to Highlight Pump Type: Supply
We are going to program Peristaltic, so hit the + to make it display Peristaltic then hit NEXT
Now there are 2 types of Pump Modes: Volume or Time, + to toggle between the two, Highlight VOLUME hit next.
Now The Pump Flow Rate depends on the pump, now the value is important if you want an accurate measurement. Now there's three types of pumps Link4 provides:
Knight Pumps: 300 ml/min | Honelight Blue: 200 ml/min | Honelight Orange: 500 ml/min
Once you have determined what pump your are using and have knowledge of its flowrate, you would enter it as follows:
On the following screen, you will set the Ratio Mode:
REFERENCE Mode: if you want your pump to work individually
SLAVE Mode: if you want your pump to work as a Ratio to another pump.
Note: you cannot make a Slave Pump unless existing Reference Pump is programmed.
Now on the next screen you have the "Probe" option, now this pump can either turn on an EC or pH probe with field highlighted you would hit +/- to navigate between the 2 types and with your choice selected hit NEXT
In the following field you will need to specify which Tank this probe is using
On To: is either Increase or Decrease, EC is usually set at Increase while pH is usually set at Decrease.
Hold Time is basically a "Dead Band" this sensor must be below the Setpoint for this time duration in order for the pump to be turned ON.
on the following screen you will set your Setpoint and your Deadband
the EC probe you can set the Setpoint up to 5000uS, the pH Probe up to 14.0ph
in the next screen you can program an Outside Light Override - if the Light value is above the specified value drive the EC or pH Probe to the following value.
Note: Must have an Out Light Sensor installed to use this override.
in the next screen you can program a Temp Override - if the mapped Temp Senosr is above the specified threshold value - drive the EC or pH Probe to the following value.
now in the following screen is the injector volume which is the amt of nutrient or acid which will be dispersed per injection
Mix time is the time between injections to mix the nutrients/acid in the tank before starting another injection cycle.
Max Inj - is the max amount of nutrient/acid that will be injected in any given period of time.
which is useful if any type of failure exists (for example the EC Probe)
to determine how long the pump will run per injection you would take the InJ Vol and divide the volume by the pumps flow rate then multiply by 60 (sec)
for example if your flow rate is 300 and your Injector volume is 30ml then the total pump on time is 6 seconds, in other words, (30/300)*60 = 6 seconds pump on time.
Now to save your settings you would hit the BACK button 3 times till you get to the HOME screen
Here is a view of how you would set up your EC/pH Sensors with LinkConn 1800 Software which provides a simpler control view.
