Supplemental Lights Using DLI

Supplemental Lights Using DLI

DLI = Day Light Integral
The Pearl Control System can control supplement lighting to help the crop to reach a particular total accumulated light for each day (e.g. DLI of 12 Moles/m2).  We can either control a pilot relay to trigger power contactor to turn a lighting system on, or control a 0-10V signal to drive a dimmable lighting system on.  Typically a PAR light sensor at the plant level below the lights is used.  However, it is possible to do this with a light sensor placed above the lights (e.g. the weather station light sensor).
