• Check to see if the Sensaphone is properly connected on the same line as the fax machine.
• Make sure that the ringer is set to answer in more rings than the fax machine.

1^st

• See how many rings the fax is responding to before faxing.

• To do this | disconnect the equipment | call the number | listen to ring # fax responds to

2^nd

• After you are aware of the fax ring amount  | reconnect the Sensaphone | program the ring until the answer feature is at a higher ring amount than fax.

Example:  fax works at 5 rings – then you would set the Sensaphone to 7 or higher….

Note:  The Sensaphone is set at a default of 4 rings. 

If power is lost, does the Sensaphone send an alert?

• Use an analog phone line | it’s not affected by power outages | 10hr battery backup should be ready
• 100 series | You can, but you would have to use one of the channels.
