PEARL - Network Connectivity Requirements

Needed if your network security is blocking ports.

Overview:
The Link4 Pearl controller connects to the internet using standard Ethernet (IPv4) via its onboard Ethernet port.

DHCP (Dynamic IP): Supported by default; no configuration required
Static IP: Can be configured manually via the controller’s front panel (IP Address, Subnet Mask, Gateway)
The controller initiates outbound connections only and does not require any inbound port forwarding.

Firewall / Network Security Configuration

In most environments, no special configuration is required. However, if outbound traffic is restricted by your network security, the following ports and destinations must be allowed:

Additional Notes

● All communication is initiated by the controller (outbound)
● No inbound firewall rules or port forwarding are required
● DNS resolution must be available for the listed hostnames
