LINKCONN TROUBLESHOOTING

 

Serial Port Error

Do you have the COMM cable wired in on the RS232-2 Port or plugged in to DB9 Serial Port on face of controller?

  • Go To Device Mgr
  • Pull usb out and then plug in.
  • The device list will close & expand | identify the new device populated on the list.
  • Open device and identify Port
  • Go to Settings>CommSettngs>CommPort drop down box match with port on PC

 

Drivers for this device are not installed CODE 28.

  • You will need to download the driver for that adapter.

 

Which Version do I have?

  • For the 1000 | Select the Help tab and then About LinkConn– which will display VERSION.
  • For the 100 | Select the icon in top left corner and then About – which will display VERSION.

 

Computer Crash (with iGrow software on it)

  • Totally Dead – don’t worry about this | if it’s still breathing, back up the LinkConn file to a thumb drive.
  • If files are obtainable - config.ini file or LinkConnconfig.ini file has the authorization key….
  • If files are not obtainable -- Link4 can generate a new key……
  • WE CAN EMAIL A LINK SO YOU CAN DOWNLOAD A ZIP FILE WITH THE NEW SOFTWARE

 

Latest version has independent log-ons?

  • NO

 

LinkConn needs either a “real” serial port or a USB to Serial RS232 Adapter using the FTDI chipset.
