iPonic Sensor Issue ----- Temperature/Light/Humidity Multi Sensor Troubleshooting
- Make sure calibration settings have not been altered from the default settings.
- History of the Sensor? Has this ever been replaced?
- How far off is the reading? (Temperature, Humidity, CO2?)
- Is there another controller? If YES, does the same issue appear on the other controller?
Light Sensor Error – Message pops up continuously.
- What is the Light Reading? (At the home screen, select the HOME button once. This displays the 2nd screen, ‘LIGHT READING”. If it has a reading or just 0 please note for support.
- Follow these steps to see if this corrects your sensor error.
- Unplug and replug the sensor (This is a notched, keyed plug-in so make sure it is seated properly.)
- Ensure the sensor is pointed up (It is the 1/8in diameter LED next to the cable line going into the sensor.)
- Is there another controller? If YES, can you try this on the other device?
Can I Install an outdoor Temperature Sensor?
- To begin, program the controller to use the outside sensor.
- Follow these steps to program:
- SystemSetup>SensorSetup>Advance(Button#2)>MapSensors(Button#1)>
- Scroll and highlight/select OUT TEMP
- Highlight Analog
- Next to the 2 wire power hookup - Insert the 1st side of the Sensor GND, Insert 2nd side of Sensor AIN1
- The OUT TEMP can be used to bring the controller into a cold dehumidify stage when the exterior temperature is too cold.
To program the outdoor temperature to be a HIGH TEMP Override; Note: MUST HAVE AC Channel Present!
- Menu>3. System Setup>6. Advanced>Global Temp Settings(2)
- In this screen, there is an option called "OutTemp Override Threshold". This is primarily used to switch from cooling with vent fans to cooling with an AC unit when the exterior temperature is too high.
- The threshold is not an absolute threshold, but an offset from interior temperature.
(For example, if the threshold is set to 5F, cooling would switch to AC if the exterior temperatures rose above the interior temperatures by 5 degrees. The threshold can also be set to a negative number. In this case, let's say we set the threshold to -5F and the interior temperature is 70 degrees. The vent fans would stop being used for cooling when the exterior temperature rose to 65F or above.
One thing to note is that an AC channel must be programmed for this to work. If no AC channel is present, the vent fans will continue to operate in cooling regardless of exterior temperature.)
How long is the Sensor Cord
- 16 ft of cord comes with the sensor
- Optional 50 ft
Cannot have multiple sensors hooked up to the controller.
- Only 1 sensor for light | heat | humidity
