iPonic Light Issues & Troubleshooting
iPonic Light Issues
Lights are not turning on:
- Check the Controllers Time on home screen and make sure its correct.
- Make sure Light output is set to Auto
- Make sure Manual Toggle Switch on the backside of door (pcb) is on AUTO
- Check Day & Night setpoints (to do this from home screen hit Ok>CurrentSetpoints>SetpointTimes>then set Day & Night START Times
Light output is displaying a timer counting down but lights are not on:
- Go into light channel press from selection Force ON, and the lights will turn on, wait 3 seconds, then go into light channel and press from selection AUTO, and lights will remain on
Light Bank issue - both banks are not turning on
Check to see if it is set to Alternate Or Both Banks
Make 2nd Light Bank output is a Light Equipment Type to get to this option, he needs to first setup an open channel as LIGHT

Menu->3. System Setup->1. Equipment Setup->2. Advanced->select #.8 if empty hit OK->Initial Settings(3)->Set Type(1)->1.(Light)
Return into channel 8 settings and set the Light Bank Mode to “Both Banks” as shown above.
Lights are not responding to my light cycle of programming.
Ensure the following are set in the Global Light Settings:
- Allow light to run independently from day setpoint time settings YES (Light programming is cycled using day setpoint for lights)
- In the LIGHT Settings at the home screen, change Light Timing Method (Button 8) to 'LIGHTS RUNS WHEN IN DAY SETPOINT'.
- Make sure Light is set to AUTO
- Make sure that the clock is set correctly, and that the controller says Day Setpoint when the lights are supposed to be on.
- The light settings should be set to turn on with the day setpoint period.
- Check the Day and Night setpoint start times from the setpoint screen in the menus.
- Make sure that the Firmware is 1.8.1.0.
Blue LED doesn't shut off during Dark Cycle. Can the blue interfere with the photo period of light sensitive plants?
To turn the blue screen off or minimize time, follow these steps:
- SystemSetup->Advance->More(Button 6)->Timed Setting(Button1)-> BackLightTime(Button 3)->
How can I have 3 bank lights work simultaneously?
- Under the basic equipment settings, uncheck what you are not using (excluding Lights, CO2, and DeHum). This resets stored equipment settings and assigns Equipment to specific Outlets.
- Go into Advanced Equipment Settings and set:
- Outlet #1 to light bank #1,
- Outlet #2 to CO2,
- Outlet #3 to light bank #2 and #3,
- Outlet #4 to DeHum.
- All the equipment was set to the appropriate type, ie. Light to Light, CO2 to CO2 etc.
- All the equipment is set to Auto, no Timed Overrides on anything
***** NOTE ***** Never plug light ballast directly into the iPonic; use a trigger. Only the trigger cable should be plugged into the iPonic.
