iGrow 100 series Sensor Issues
Outdoor/Indoor Temp/Hum Sensor Troubleshooting
Temperature sensor not registering.
- Check sensor connection wires on the controller to make sure there tight and securely fastened.
- Check connections inside junction box (if one exists), for moisture or corrosion.
- Check the PCB for corrosion, moisture or contamination build up.
- Check the line that leads to that box for cuts or any damage which will affect the sensors readings.
- Check for wire any interference sources (voltage, motors, inverters, etc….)
- Check Sensor Mapping
- Check Calibrated Inputs
Inside Temperature Sensor Failure
- Probe comes with the 100 series, the temp humidity is an additional cost.
- Probe (Analog) Temp/Hum(Digital) Mapping is Vital
- Probe has to be installed at the inside temp sensor location and mapped to analog 1.
“ 1 “ INSIDE TEMP SENSOR ONLY ( for 100 series controllers)
- You can assign an additional sensor to be backup or outside, but only 1 inside.
Sensor Cable Length Digital
Sensor Cable Length Analog
Max length for signal quality 150ft
- Must have shielded cable
- Away from electrical current
- Test the reading with portable temp device and just calibrate
Can I install the temperature sensor on a different channel?
- Analog | or Digital sensor locations on the PCB board
- You can as long as you map the sensor to where you put it..
Temperature Sensor (PROBE) Installation 100 series
- 1 Pair 2 wires Alum color Copper color
- Non polarity wires - does not matter which output
- AIN1 & GND is the location ( 3 screw blue T.B. on PCB “Inside Temperature Sensor”)
Can I get 2 separate temp readings on a big greenhouse one for each side using 2 temp sensors?
YES
- Average – up to 4 temp locations within the greenhouse, but this will only be the average.
- You can also install a separate temp sensor, but you would connect to the outside temp location and the screen would display “Outside Temp”.
With 2 temp sensors within the greenhouse, can I run 1 furnace off a) sensor and 1 of b) sensor?
- NO – Only the 1000 series can support this.
- Another alternate option is to purchase another 400 to be used as a thermostat.
